  • A projectile point from Tarpon springs Florida.

    This is another Hillsbourough, it’s made from heat treated Coastal Plains chert, is 2-1/4”x1/4” and was was found at the mouth of the Anclote River, Tarpon Springs Florida in 1979, after a hurricane.

    Nice point hal....tarpon springs....sounds familiar to me..is that near weeki wachee....i remember going there as a kid

      Yeah more rivers and thirty miles south... Tarpon springs is a Greek village ,when you’re there you think your in Greece, big tourist and sponge diving industry, made the movie, beneath the twelve mile reef there, a must for anyone visiting the west coast, maybe you were there.

              It’s a terrible thing to say but it’s good for artifact hunters, I actually went in the rain cuzz it’s a lot cooler, after it passes and the sun comes out, it’s like a sauna, .
