  • A projectile from Florida.

    This is a Hillsbourough, it is a valid type...It is 1-1/2 “x1/16” ( the average size) and fashioned from heat treated costal plains chert...These are locally called batwings..they are made this way, they are not a reworked point..and it’s common for them to have snapped tangs..This on was found in hillsbourough co. Florida in 1983.

    Awesome style, almost looks like a harpoon head.. Would be interesting to know what kind of critter they’d been after with those.
