  • Yellow Jasper point

This field has been pretty damn good to me over the last 4 days. I wish I had more time to walk around, I think I have a total of 8-9 hours invested. I love the Jasper stuff when I’m lucky enough to find it. I’m not sure exactly what the big Argillite piece is. It almost looks like it was a big spearhead that was repurposed into some sort of scraper any thoughts?

Yes sir. Sure looks like a drill / perforator, or possibly a graver.

I’ve been hunting deer for over 20 years on this property but I’ve only been addicted to artifact hunting for less than two years so this is my second summer looking there. This is the first time in about 10 years that they actually decided to rip the field up with a plow and disk it instead of the dreaded no til planting.

Cool finds, the black pieces looks like a broken point and preform. I would say the other is a worn down drill. Keep investing time in that area.
