This is a classic 3” Deep South Hernando....it’s fashioned from Florida fossil chert and was found at a little place called Aripeka on the coast, in Pasco co. Florida...Named after the great Seminole war chief and spiritual leader...this piece came from a white sand contex, and while she could use a little color in her cheeks, she does get the looks...Thanks for viewing.

Your stuff needs to be in a museum one day. Everything you show is rare and perfect.

In the last 50 years in Florida at least 20 museums state and local have had artifacts stolen or “missing” in Georgia, a whole collection of pottery vessels went to miss, so you see Tom, they’re safer in my museum, which goes to my daughter who is a point hunter, in Jan. 2018, I thought hard about giving the pottery to the Museum on Weeden Island, but they have had stuff stolen, then I stumbled on the forum, This is where it should be shown for now.......besides the big boys’n girls tend to look down there noses at collections like mine...interesting thought though,

I hear you. It would be cool if somebody set up a database where folks could anonymously log their finds with photos and stats. Even if it was just through this site, you'd quickly build an amazing resource. I just feel this stuff should be out there for the world to see and admire.
