Has anyone read this book on artifact hunting?
I just finished reading “Arrowhead Adventures, Ultimate Guide to Indian Artifact Hunting,” by William Bauer, who hails from Missouri. It is an e-book, runs about $9.95. Perhaps, some of you read it or know the author? For a newbie who has yet to find his first point I found the book most informative and for one reason, it broadened my understanding of all the types of locations and methods for finding artifacts. Bottom-line philosophy of the book: don’t just focus on finding artifacts, but work towards finding campsites until one has developed a list of several from which to hunt. I particularly liked the topo map strategy of finding potential campsites. It also mentions making and using a magnifier that floats on water and is useful for creek hunting. Anybody ever try one of these? I can’t vouchsafe as to whether the author is as successful in finding artifacts as his book claims, but I was encouraged by it.

Once found the temptation to dig could be overwhelming. Or is that how a guy is sure its been located lol, bet its a good read!

The book will be available in hard copy on my website in 2 weeks. I received my hard copy proof last Friday. After all that work it was nice to finally hold a real book in my hand. I did the final edit, and it's being offset printed right now. It was a LOT more work than I thought it would be.
