My Daughters Find Yesterday. :)

So, I my 17 year old daughter and I decided to go on a little hike yesterday in one of our favorite places.  We didn't have much time, only like an hour.  But...she found this awesome piece!!  I LOVE it!  I've never seen this type of material, any ideas what it is?  So different from everything else around there.  I'm also attaching a couple beautiful pics of the area, soooo beautiful!  Fall, is just barely getting us here in the Desert.    Forgot to mention it was a little over two inches long.

Tell your daughter congrats   You live in an area of overwhelming beauty, IMHO. Been to Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks. Hard to top red rock country.....

Thanks so much!!  I told her she could give me that for Christmas!  Pictures just don't do them justice.  You've just gotta see them and feel them.  LOVE!!
