  • Better pics of carving

Here are few more pics of the carving. I'm not an expert but 75 percent of wat I find all comes from bout a 2 mile stretch of creek which I have pretty much come to the conclusion that it was a definite kill site for I'm guessing over thousands of years due to bison and some ancient camel bones sticking out of creek bank walls and the variations in depth of the bones. I have also determined from researching and investigating that at the head of the creek it splits into two natural springs that are divided by nearly the biggest hill in the area which was where I think was a main encampment or a very well known n used seasonal or hunting camp. There are not any burial grounds to my knowledge but a lot of wat I find seems to wash out in caches. I have also found one other broken carving. Anyway just wanted to add lilbit more and thanks again for looking.

Is it hevier than it look? It reminds me of a petrified root or branch. I found roots that I swear look like a carving. One even looks like an alien man. Nope just a petrified wood root. It not a carving. I love were it swirls into a not. Also, were it would have tool, it dosent. I would have kept it too.

Tator, those pictures are better. I see what you mean, it doesn't look like a rodent chewed antler. I don't know what it is, but at the same time I think I know what it isn't... I'm not seeing anything that looks like ancient native american or pre-columbian work.

Oh well it does not look native american to me either and I feel like I can see the scratches from rodent teeth. There are a lot of gnawing critters out there. They go after bone and antler to get calcium into thier diet. They also chew because their teeth constantly grow, If they do not chew strange things happen to them.
