  • NICE POINT FROM WESTERN ILLINOIS

This point was passed down from my Great Grandfather. I think it's a Scottsbluff or Kramer but what are your thoughts? Found in Western Illinois.

That's a killer. Kramer is a good call.

That is a sweet point. That belonged to your Great Grandfather makes it even sweeter. Have you considered Hardin?

I am thinking Hardin as well. But what ever it is called I think sweet point fits it well.

I didn't think Scottsbluff. But not being familiar with many of the points found in your region I was hesitating to make a guess especially after Josh was agreeing with the Kramer ID. But I was kinda thinking Hardin, also for what it is worth.

That's a nice one Creekwalker. The notches and the base are similar to the one on my avatar to the left, also found in Illinois.

Hey Creek. Sorry about the late response. I have looked over numerous ID sites and I cannot put a positive ID on that point in my avatar. Any ideas? That is areally nice one you have. Mine was found in Will County. What county is yours from? You can pm that answer if ya like...

It was found in Pike County Illinois. It was a field find from my understanding aw well. The one you have look like some sort of dovetail point but I'm not sure what type you have there.
