Looks like a crude preform. But still a cool find! Size reference would really help...

Something for size reference would help. Can't tell if it is 3 inches long or 8 inches long. Keep that in mind in your future posts, especially when asking for help. It could have been something that was on its way to being something or it could be all used up. No way to really tell.
