    Im curious on the age of this one. It looks older than the others I have found in wood county tx

    You are way out of my area but that piece has a woodland look to it in my opinion. I have been noticing your other posts and welcome aboard. You have been sharing some good stuff and it is good to have a new active member.

          I would say copenas or Baker one in the same. ..very nice find age could very so put it around 6000 years

              Here's a timescale I always enjoyed looking at that provides the time periods in the eastern US and shows what would have been contemporary with those dates in the "old world". Woodland is old but relatively recent compared to the age of artifacts from the paleo period....Helps put things in perspective.               KY here is my thing you have to many variables to take in it boiled down to clans and what works best shared knolage from one to the other we are present and over think

                I would say woodland period, that material is just rough and not as high grade of chert, still a nice find!
