  • Florida gulf coast arrowhead?

We were on a nature trail on an undeveloped area of north captiva island in Florida and my daughter found this on the beach. They have just had IRma go through and the tides had just went down from the latest tropical storm. Anyone with an idea of what she found?

Could be a Weeden Island Stemmed - Woodland..... but is also worked down from use-continuum...may be an archaic stemmed point. I kinda go with Archaic Stemmed without holding it. Nice find for down there! There is very little good knappable material south of Tampa Bay and most of it was brought from Tampa Bay/North

I've spent many summers vacationing on Sanibel. I never even thought to look for arrowheads. I am normally looking for shells. I would let the island reporter know what you found. They like to do stories on that kind of thing.
