    It looks a lot like the Beacon island point shown in the point identification guide on the web and also shown in the Handbook of Alabama archaeology. I think this book can be viewed on the web also, I have a hard copy.

      I agree with Johnny/willjo. It looks like a Beacon Island to me. Also, where you found it is not far from the original type site. BTW, I knew both David Hulse and Ralph Allen the two men credited with naming the point.

        Agree with Johnny and Sailor. Beacon Island is the closest I could find also. Frog - I'd still like to see clearer pics when you can - I'd like to see the edge work.

              Flint Creeks are heavily serrated and more of a stemmed point than corner notched. I think they got it with Beacon Island. Nice point!😀
