  • I'll show you mine if you show me yours... ?

    Early Friday Night Thots

"It's Friday Night, Ladies. Who wants their face slapped!??" (anyone remember Treasure Depot Off Topics Forum??)

I was just thinking that when a person posts a certain type of point or a certain tool it is not bad manners to post what you have that is similar/same within the thread. Hopefully after saying, "Nice find!" lol
If someone posts a pic of a bolo stone they have or just found, I don't think it hurts the original poster to have other members post their bolo stones within the thread....and improves knowledge and fun within the thread. When people google "bolo stone" they may/should get more hits from this site. I correct spelling in some posts due to the same.
Think it's bad manners to post one of yours or is that stealing someones thunder boom?

I thinks it’s a cool thing, unless it’s done as obvious one-upping type stuff, which is uncool.

Sorry no bolos here but on your question it can be rude especially if the OP is going to go for the Find of the month with their find. I think you should always ask the OP if it is okay to post yours on their post. I think if you want to show your lookalike you should post for others to join in the mix. Im sure you have had to correct my spelling, ha

Never here either SH. Just not much hardstone other than a occasional

Shake it up, now, Sugaree!!! ...could be.....they are not always perfectly round, nor do they always have a groove or grooves or a dimple. The Paleo-Archaic ones I've seen almost always have the dimple on top or at least a flatter spot that is obviously ground. That looks like a land find?

Yea it's a land find. I'm in the land of round rocks but nothing round as this one. And it is smooth so I have wondered. But really don't know if it's not natural. Just don't tell them that you know me!

ID:	336529 Hey Tom, On my own threads I enjoy seeing examples that fire up the conversation. There are many cases where piggybacking on someone else makes no sense. But if someone is asking for it let er rip.
