I'm pretty sure that the one on the bottom left is a preform. What are the others? I found these in an area with a lot of waste flakes. Southern Utah.

Looks like they definitely worked that one. Probably a tip to something broken in manufacture. So in other words, yes, probably a tip off a preform. They made many tools though, so hard to say for sure exactly what it's purpose was. But one thing is for certain, they intentionally worked a tip on that piece you're talking about.
You have the eye for them!

Thanks, DiversionHound! I'm wintering in Southern Utah and I'll be here another 3 weeks and then return to SLC, Utah. Here's to the arrowhead god guiding me to guide me to find a whole point! I did find another broken worked piece yesterday that I will post.Comment
