    Found this in a creek in Hardin Illinois. Can't get a handle on it. It has what appears to be a pointed worked bit end. You can see it has a prominent center stack. I think it was abandoned as a preform for that reason , but the bit end looks used. Any ID help is appreciated. Thanks Bob c

    Hey Caracello, I don't know what exactly you've found but I would sure like to know what others think the lithic is. My cousin lives SE of Bloomington Ill., and found a large biface on his small acreage and it's the same looking lithic; any ideas anyone?

      Hey Bob, I think the reduction flakes/spalls were probably used: I think it's a core. It sure looks like some good material.
