  • Pitkin chert, Arkansas

    Pitkin chert is cryptocrystalline, but quantities, cobble sizes, and areas of distribution are limited. Pitkin borders between Atoka and Boone resources making
    exploitation increasingly advantageous.
    It runs from the Batesville, Arkansas area to Muskogee, Oklahoma with the largest outcropping at the south end of Boat Mountain near Bellefonte, Arkansas.
