Inserting links

I have attempted several times to insert a link into a post. Although it shows up the link itself does not affect a true link.
It just gives the link but will not actually take you to that particular.
Any hints?

The link I was attempting is:

Try deleting the auto inserted http.
And any auto inserted forward slashes. Just delete whats there then paste it.

Jessy, how are you putting the link in to the post? Are you using a copy and paste or are you typing in the link?
going to do a test with copy and paste for you link.

Well I got the Dallas Paleo page to paste but the link to the show is not coming through.
But the link is on their page works.
I guess that will have to do for now besides what Chase put in works fine.

BTW: Cathy H. went last year and her littleuns had a ball.
She is a little out of state now so she is out of the picture.
Oh there is no mention of the great Bar-B-Que places there.
