Hello! We just moved to East Texas (Tyler area) and purchased a waterfront lot on Lake Palestine (which is a reservoir created by damming the Neches river). Our particular lot happens to be part of the original river bank and the woman we purchased the lot from said that they have found many arrowheads on the land (which was used for the past 30+ years as a horse pasture). She believed that this particular spot was used as a campsite, and what research I have done supports that. Now they have begun doing the dirt-work for the house we are building and they have moved a lot of dirt around so I go out to the site periodically and look around, hoping to find something. So far, I think I have found debitage and perhaps one broken arrowhead. Here's hoping for more!

Wow... Sounds like you have some major fun in store...
Good ole Tyler, TX...! My father used to fly a Cessna round-trip to Tyler from our stomping grounds in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.... just for kicks...
I'm eager to see what you come up with...
