Just joined - Hi from Sacramento, CA
Hi everyone, real quick introduction....I'm 40, I got the collecting bug very early on in life from a wonderful rockhoud in Perry Iowa where my Dad was born. My Aunt Marie was the coolest woman and she would show me her arrowheads and stone tools when I would visit from CA. She used to walk fields all over Iowa an Missouri. I have inherited a few of her pieces, but the best thing i got from here i got the moment she showed me he mystical finds...
I've picked up rocks and collected as long as I can remember. I started getting the itch for artifacts about 10years ago and it took me 5 years to find my 1st lol.
I do a bit of backcountry camping, a lot of walking rivers and kayak fishing with my Lab and I live in downtown Sacramento. I'd love to meet up in Sac or other less paved locations. I also have Jade fever this time of year, so my dream find involves something made of slippery green stuff from the hills of CA. Thanks for being here. Adios and happy hiking, sfbayj
