Hello, Scott. I’m new too, and your non-artifact posting is a whole lot more interesting than the apparently plain ole rocks which are subject of my inquiries (like the one previous to yours). Folks here are always guiding me and directing me to resources, so I thought I’d pass this on to you: there’s a forum listed near the bottom of the directory called “Pseudo-Artifacts and Geofacts,” with a post “Rocks With Cups and Holes” in a sub-forum by painshill. Regardless of whether your specimen is an “Omar” as discussed there, the whole forum is very informative. In fact, if you continue to post here, anything written by painshill is well-worth digging thru old threads to find and read.
