  • went fer a little walk...

    ...to the river by my house (the pawtuxet river) i usually find old medicine bottles,marbles and clay pipes down there. i spotted this old guy on the way out.

    im thinking its a american made pipe.the bowls walls are twice the thickness of a typical T.D. style pipe and deeper and wider and the clay is alot poorer quality.theres no markings or numbers anywhere on it either and the stem would have been quite thick compaired to the smoke hole.still a nice find! one more to add to the collection!

          thanks! its beech wood.since ive been useing it the polish on the wampum in the top is a deep purple with a high shine now!

            Hmmmmmm...... someone put something in there to smoke, just not sure what. Still a nice find, and great In-Situ.

                Serendipity, you just never know what you're gonna find till you find it.
                Hole is a little small from what you can tell of the bowl size.

                  heres it next to a better condition one i found at the same spot a while back and a typical T.D. style pipe. last pic is just to show its depth/width.  ....i love finding clay pipes.
