Can anyone give me any information on this older print/picture? It is 14 x 8.5 inches. It appears to be a photograph with an etched background. Any information at all would be a great help.

Well he looks a little like Chief Silver Tounge from Wisconsin. Not really sure though. Just similar.
Look at you photo carefully with magnification. Looks like something written on the bottom. I think Old Silver Tongue



was name Oscar Norton.

Looks like a name and the number 96 might be signed by the chief or the photographer

I see what you mean about the writting when looking at the negative but there is nothing to see on my end with a magnifying glass.

Chief Silver Tongue, who I had never heard of, does seem a strong possibility. Here's one of many images if you do a Google Image search for Chief Silver Tongue. I didn't look at other images, but I know none matched that pose exactly; there is one of him pointing; I thought the face might be similar.
