Kim , Great thread idea. Here are some of my NA pottery collection & a painting. The pots are , Navajo & Hopi mostly & 2 ancient Anasazi. The painting is by a great friend named Jerry Rice , who was an art teacher on the Chiricahua Apache Indian reservation in Ruidoso New Mexico. His works are highly prized and rare. He passed from cancer in 2004. The painting is 3 feet x 5 feet ... I have many more NA related obje de art if anyone is interested.

Beautiful collection Augi. Jerry Rice sounds familiar to me somehow. K

This is a modern Navajo jug. The artist paints his pottery to give it a wood grain look. The designs are etched into the pottery.

Tom , Beautiful amazing pot. As soon as I read Nampeyo ... I was hooked. She is right up there with Maria Montoya Martinez
(Aka , Po-Ve-Ka. ... Water Lily )both pot throwing goddesses. I have been a NA pot collector for 60 years. Thanks so much for a look.

I like to see vintage art even when it's not very realistic. This display frame is 42" X 13" X 3.5" and was a musuem display at one time.
