  • Metal axe and hoe

    Thought maybe i would ask if anyone had some info on these tools.. found them on one of my sites a couple years ago.. The hoe has a stamp that maybe someone is familiar with..Thanks for any help.. Ron

      How about a side view of the hoe looking one. Maybe an adze for squaring logs too.  I had an axe just like that one it was a small hewing axe. It was flat on one side for squaring lumber in the early days. I have a huge one packed away some place They had bent handles too so the carpenter could watch his work
      My guess and it is only a guess maybe late 1800's

        I second your opinion on the adze Hoss. It is far too substantial a piece in thickness to have been a hoe.
