  • The Friday file.

Just in case I forget where I am this will remind me.
    A printing plate piece.

Why do people through lead batteries in the waterways? And has anyone ever found 2 strand solid copper wire encased in lead?

The sifter does double duty as a convenient cleaning basket. Just turn on the hose.

Out of the tumbler and time to do some research.

Both of these have no reason to have been in the Gorge. A 50 cal and a POM POM round.

This is a 1903 POM POM gun.

I have no idea how long the boat hook has been under water but this came out of the hole 3 scoops before I got the hook free.

The branch/pole was longer when found but I was way out in the water when I saw a guy breaking off the end of it to toss into the water for his dog.

Brass takes a while to get this cruddy.

This one was a head scratcher for a while

Until another member on another forum pointed out this site to me. :woohoo:
A circa 1895 "Dazzler" carbide bicycle lamp manufactured by Powell & Hanmer, Birmingham, England.

Now all I have to do is find the rest of it.
The find of the day for me was this almost complete safety razor. The top nut is missing.

This is a period add for it from 1908.

Not quite new Ron, I decided to give the other side of the Gorge a try. And you bet that I will be returning there soon.

Rob if I were more computer savy I would enjoy research more than I do now. My hunt and peck method of Google searching sucks big time.  So to answer your question finding and cleaning is my passion. :woohoo:
