  • Possibly my last finds post of the year.

It will depend on what I find today though.
Yesterday required the wearing of winter gloves.
When you are addicted you take every chance to scratch the itch.
So I chose a place in the sun and one where I expected few targets.
As you can see I have been over and over this spot many times.
The aluminum can though was frustrating.
I dug down a full twelve inches only to find that. Click image for larger version

It always surprises how much a person can miss.
And yes that is another set of keys I will try to find the owner of.

The oldest coin for the day was a 1914 S wheat penny.

Detecting is always a matter of inches one way or the other.
And yesterdays three keepers prove that no site is ever hunted out.
Right out of the gate on the second hole.
In an area that I have personally detected at least 6 time casually.
And both PocoBill and I have gone over this spot, we thought, thoroughly.
Big boy number 15 for the year showed his pretty face.

    Odd how it goes sometimes.
This was less than 75 feet from that can and only 8 inches down.

The rest of the keepers were anticlimactic but still keepers.

Thank you Ron. It was a very pleasant surprise pulling that one out of the ground.
