  • Keep your paws off of my stuff.

This is a post of my weekends finds.
Saturday was fun but Sunday was a slog.
On Saturday Jim from Duncan came down.
Unfortunately though he had to bow out early when his headphones crapped out. Click image for larger version

A few miles were put in on the old boots and only two keepers were found.
There is no logical reason for why I like these but I do. Click image for larger version

Hey Bruce, Is the necklace a combo of ancient and modern? The beads look a lot like ancient Marpole Phase stone beads. Those ancient beads have been discovered in your area.

Ron at first I thought that you were pulling my leg but then I looked up Marpole Phase stone beads and realized that you were being serious.
They look a little to uniform to me to be natural but I am not trained in identification. I will test them later with my pinpointer to see if they are metal or not.
by the way there is a site not 5 miles from my home that was identified as Locarno Beach/Marpole

Dang, I dunno, the 'sloggy day' sure looked good to me! I'd be super psyched to dig that dime! Nice finds!

Hey Bruce, All of the Marpole Phase stone beads that I have seen are shaped like yours. Here are a couple pictures of mine:

Thank you for the pics Ron. Unfortunately as you already know the "beads" on my necklace were not natural stone but white metal.
