  • Yesterday was fun. Today was frustrating!!!

Yesterday I spent time on two different beaches.

First thing is to hose everything off and sort out the crapulance and lead.
Then toss the brass and copper into the tumbler. Click image for larger version

This took a little over three hours yesterday. Click image for larger version

Now it is time for the final cleaning.
Anything that was too delicate for the mass tumbling or something that I think is interesting.
Gets a treatment with fresh stones and a mix of water and vinegar.
    This is that mystery coin.
Not as cool as the 1887 seated dime I pulled from this beach last time but I will take a 1913 anyways. Click image for larger version

These are the rest of the items that got special treatment.

And a few of knick knacks. Click image for larger version

ID:	217751 The round object on the left is part of a clothing snap.
And I am not sure but I think that this item patented in 1900 is for holding paper to a clipboard. Click image for larger version

All of those items came from the first beach.
The second one I think that you can tell was penny beach again. Click image for larger version

And yes it was part of the special clean up only. Click image for larger version

Normally I get frustrated by finding the lower half of bottles and the top is broken off.
This one was extremely frustrating though because as you can see the bottle was never opened.
How would you like to find an unopened bottle of port from 1869 at it's youngest. Click image for larger version

I found that information in this paper about bottle top capsules.

Why was today a total cluster F***?
I spent the whole day either on the phone or running around trying to fix my internet. Click image for larger version

I can laugh about it now but earlier today I was a ticking
And although I wanted to I didn't blow up on the phone.

I like the idea of passing it forward Ron, this was two steps backwards.
