Like I said wages were not made.
This is the total spendables for three whole days. I guess that you can add a buck or two when this is taken in. Thankfully the trash was light.
Because it is much better to find something nice.
On Friday Mike came out to play.
And was rewarded with this early small. My best find on Friday was a complete bell. However being stuck in wet clay for however many dozens of years was not the best thing for the clapper. Nor did it leave a nice rich green patina. The rest of my finds were not exactly spectacular.

One find though did live to fly again. Speaking of Mike, here he is.
Still beaming after finding his oldest American silver just minutes before.
A nice 1902 Barber dime. Saturday was fun just getting out with this pair of reprobates.

All three of us struggled to find anything decent.
My best was a small silver earring. On Sunday, like the old spitfire, I was flying solo.
It is funny how you can be alone in a crowd of people when you are standing in a park.
Two silvers did manage to make an appearance though. I think that you can see that this was mixed up crazy signal to chase down. The last find of the day was a set of cufflinks.
The actual link had rusted completely away.
The one in the picture is one from another cufflink in much worse condition that was found a while back. Today is a snow day for me.
Earlier this morning it was coming down to beat the band.

And it didn't take long before the grass was no more. Rather than sit and mope finishing that calling card tray came to mind.
This thing looks like shining gold sitting in the snow.
It is now back in the tumbler with a vinegar and water solution for the finishing touches. I think that I will leave you with a smile today.
The brass item is a pencil sharpener.
The dog though.
Take a close look at his front leg.

Because of the way it has rotted away.
The pose he strikes when standing.
Is so realistic.
