This old fart does not like the heat.
So the amount of time spent detecting is much shorter than normal.
I have been letting the finds pouch dictate the day.
When it is full I am done.
On Sunday there was only one good find of note.
I was walking along the waters edge.
PS this is not a place to wear runners. When I got a nice signal in the headphones. I have been trying, without success, over the last couple of days to get an answer to the riddle of this ring.
Josten's says they did not make an Olympic ring in 1973??? Later that night Eric asked if the hunting at Elk Lake was any good.
Well after letting him know what my experience was the last time out he accepted my offer to hunt the mudflats.
Unfortunately this trip was cut short when his detector went kerflooey.
Before his detector quit this coronation medallion jumped into my pouch all by itself.
It is not dated however if Google is right it should be 1902. On the way off of the beach this addicted person could not help but swing the coil while walking.
There was a target that I picked up and Eric asked what it was.
My response was a "copper ferrell" because that is exactly what it looked like.
In the tumbler it went with the rest of the recyclables.
The only thing is that a copper ferrell is not what came out.
