On Saturday for a while everything was going wrong with the hunt.
The spot that I decided to detect was a mass of aluminum overloads.
I had to empty my pouch three times in a matter of two hours.
But hey, $4.55 went into the gas tank.
Once this trash was out of the way the smaller trash started to appear. And then it was penny after penny after penny until the clouds let loose at around noon.
The only good part about finding pennies is that sometimes they are green.
I honestly did not even know that the 1917S was in the pouch until it came out of the tumbler. Vickie on the other hand looked a little worse for wear when she first came out. However her true colours were not hiding to deep. After waiting out the shower for half an hour things brightened up for the rest of the day. 50% silver is better than no silver.

And sterling is even better. Sunday was a different story.
I had just parked the car when Jamie called and asked if I minded some company.
Well he was there before I had found my first target.
I was able to pull my only keeper early in the morning.
And boy has this traveled.

Not long after that Eric also came out to play.
Jamie had to call it early due to some commitments just as I decided to hit a nearby soccer field for gas money.
A tad over $9 came from that field.
I did end up with a whatsit.
Yes I do know that it is a horse.
But did this come from one of these old penny arcade racing games?
