  • First Hafted Blade

    Well, I've posted the picture of this blade before, but not with the handle. Had fun with this piece, carved the handle from pine fat, used pine pitch tar and deer sinue for the hafting.

                    Yes, kind of like a Narwhal tusk. It was difficult to get each strand of the spiral to be evenly spaced and taper down to a point on the back of the handle. I used a pencil to draw the channel outlines and a jack knife to carve them out.
