  • Interesting materials

Here is a couple things I finished lately. The first two are a point and a knife I made from some local petrified wood. Hard stuff to work but beautiful once knapped. The last one is a blade core that I started working but my gf made me stop because she liked the way it turned out lol. It kind of looks like a galaxy or something I like the material. Ended up with a nice flat spot of cortex so it can sit on the shelf. Hope everyone has a great week, God bless

Thank you Jeb, I thought so too, I really like the way the wood grain is wiggly on the bigger blade

Hey Bushman, Nice work on the Pet Wood: I really like the one that looks like palm wood.

Thank you Ron, I’m sure you know how ‘fun’ that stuff is to work. I’ve actually got a slab of palm wood from the creek about 5 x 5 but I can’t bring myself to knap it, it’s too beautiful! It’s hell being a knapper and pet wood collector lol
