I drove past this quartzite outcropping on the way to run camera on a Va Tech football game. For those that ain't from 'round here that's Pilot Mountain near the mythical town of Mayberry NC.

I didn't take it, last time I tried to shoot a picture of Pilot Mountain, I ended up in the ditch on highway 52 !
