I painted this recently, I thought someone out there might enjoy this. It is actually copied off of a Bob Ross painting. It isn't the best, but it isn't finger painting either.

Some fun facts about this painting.

Amount of time spent painting: Two and a half hours (compared to Bob's thirty minutes)
Amount of paint used: Enough to cover a lot more canvases then this one.
Total brushes used: Ten. Bob used two.
Amount of time explaining to my family how I got oil paint on the wooden floor: Too much
Amount of time cleaning said floor: Thirty minutes using mineral spirits and toothbrush.
Clean-up time: Eternity. Still finding brushes under couch.
Will I do it again? You bet!

Nice work. I use to paint a lot with oils but the fumes and clean up were unbearable. I've been sticking with watercolor and gouache for some time now.

After a while it does get to you. I use a mask. But yes, clean up is a pain in the butt.

Hey KP - beautiful work and really enjoyed the explanation of time spent. I gotta say it was time well spent. Only thing I ever painted was a house. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.

That is a great piece of work. I like the reflection of the brush along the water. Nice work...the extent of my artistry is stick figures...

Good job. Paint thicker, it will give you more contrast and depth.

I paint from time to time. I paint with oils but use red, yellow, white and two different blues. I use a pallet knife (easy clean up) But you have great talent. How did I miss this thread.
