I went to Perryville, Kentucky this past Friday. Though I didn't get to see all of the battlefield, the photos I took were okay.

Thanks. I am self taught, and I started when I was twelve.

Hallowed Ground. Memorials like this are important. We must not erase the past. But Learn from it. Great Photos and thanks for the History lesson Kentucky!

Many soldiers are buried on the battlefield itself, in unmarked graves. It truly is hallowed ground.

Beautiful area. I wonder what the NA people thought of the civil war, if there were any around....

I believe most of them were out west by the time of the war.

However, a Confederate regiment made completely of Cherokees served with valor during the war. I'll have to read up on them.

              LOL!

I just do it for fun, but I don't think I've ever photographed a person before. I do enjoy taking photos of things though. I started when I was twelve, and I am self taught. I'm 17 now, so I've been doing it for a little over 5 years.

Knew you were young, but 17 is very young. You write well, you know your stuff, and you are a very valuable contributor. Some folks are simply born “older” than others. I’m grateful you’re one!

I've always considered myself to be a researcher...not geeky, but educated. I just like learning about antiquities, and with learning antiquities, comes learning how to put it down in writing - grammar. I'm not the best at it most days, but I try.

As for my age, folks actually think I'm much older, and usually I let them think that.
