I agree on the smelting, watched it done on the discovery channel the other day...just hit it with a hammer after it solidifies and it breaks apart nicely

Smelting operation should do it.  Professional job.  I do not believe gold will actually bind with aluminum, when melted they should separate, especially if specific chemicals/additives are also put in to bind with aluminum, again gold is inert and will not bind.

I have a question for anyone.My parents house burned they had four ounces of gold in a aluminum container they melted together how can i seperate them.
