    There's a name for this. Simulacrums?:http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/simulacrums
    Dunno. I was at the bay today, taking some photos, and when I got home realized I had a pretty cool image in stone. Guess I'll call it Turtle Rock.

    That is one neat looking formation.  Kind of looks like a seal as well.  Thanks for posting.  I love seeing this stuff.

      Very cool Charlie.
      Incidentally, the psychological perception of such items is known as "pareidolia" and the rock itself would therefore be known as a "pareidolium". I prefer "turtle-rock".
      I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.
