We were in Iowa had just visited the site of plane crash that they say was the day the music died.
We make down the hwy to Iowa city. We are following and helping Kim and David Allan Coe with their shows.
Tammy and I are at the hotel when Dave calls and says meet us at the casino. I remember leaving the hotel next thing I remember is talking to the Dr. If he can save my leg. We are topping a hill going about 35 to 40 mph. Right over the hill is a stop light We had a green light and a Mercedes pulled out in front of us. Hit it straight on which is fantastic. Tammy flew over the car and landed in middle of intersection and I got hung up in the fairing. Tammy said I landed on top of the car rolled to hood and fell off. She said as soon as I hit ground I was screaming where is my wife is my wife okay. She said it took a little bit We locked eyes and she said I just settled down. Tammy said she could only see my eyes cause of the blood. Tammy suffered ribs damage and a lanced liver all healed. I suffered a broken eye socket a broken leg which has a rod in it. 6 screws in ankle and 4 in knee.
