  • Irma bird rescue

This is a very cool story . My girlfriend in S. Georgia found this Tropical bird after the hurricane . She got on Facebook and called all the proper wildlife authorities . The bird got caught up in the winds and ended up there . The man that picked it up said there have only been 2 found in Georgia
and that was on the ocean side . They nest and feed in all three oceans .
back home for this little guy thanks to a Patsy .

The guy that picked him up didn't say Bruce , just a tropical
sea bird . My friend said it didn't have the kind of feet to even walk because it was a sea bird . I found an Albatross once
and turned it into sea life park . Same thing could not walk
they truly are sea birds .
nest on cliffs or the ground on deserted islands where it's safe

Good story Tam I'm thinking it's an immature white tailed tropicbird?

I agree-- looks like an immature tropicbird, a casual visitor off our SE coast after storms. Immature birds lack the long streamer tail of the adults. Beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing, Tam.

He made it . The rescue team drove him all the way to the gulf . There are some dedicated animal lovers/ workers out there .
