  • What a shot !!!!!

My 14 year old and his luck !!!! All he could see was his head over some brush ..... I ranged him at 35 yards and he touched the trigger ,,,, he hit the ground .... nothing big but this shot is going to forever stick in my mind

    nice shooting

on a hunting group i belong to on FB
we just a had a heated debate about taking head/neck shots
a lot of folks say your not a good hunter if you do so

i say if you do it and the animal goes down, not only are you a good hunter but one hell of marksman too

tell him congrats on making an excellent and hard shot

back straps,do i smell back straps on the grill?
    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm an old fart and hunted for a long time. IMO if you take the shot and bring em down quickly, without having to track them all over the county, it was a good shot. For a 14 y/o to make a shot like that - I say a hearty congratulations. Ya done good.

I really like the look of pride in his eyes Everett.
I bet that his look is the same one that you had while you were making this post.

He is a young man . Dad will teach him . I agree with Chuck if it’s a clean kill and the animal is down good job son .
I cannot stand hunting season when people have a bad shot and don’t even track the animal and I see buzzards the next day errrr .
Ummmm backstrap .. has it last night .
I am going to start a recipe thread . I found a stew you make with the ground ..omg it’s the paprika .
I’ll get it going I want to hear what everyone’s favorite is .

Awesome bow shot!!! That's where my Uncle always shot them...right behind the ear but that was with a shotgun. No damage to the meat. Great shot man...
