I think the owners are going to sell soon. I've found some good ones in that creek but not in that amazing section for some reason

Hey Glenn, at least you got out and tried. I got completely skunked on my last 2 hunts as well. That creek looks awesome.

Unless you count a quartz worked cobble I got skunked. It wasn't finished into anything. My last 2 hunts have been the same. But I did come home and took a 2 hour nap so I got some peace and quiet.

The thing is, you know the points are laying out there on that bar. Frustrating that they don't feel like showing themselves to you sometimes. Keep trying while you still can.

They are saying rain so maybe it will wash off some. Hard to find anything when all the rocks are grey.

I understand the gray rock problem. Endless fractured slate and shale where I am. Almost impossible to see anything not made of light colored chert.

That creek is full of natural oval flat stones. You have to flip every stone and in the water they are all black. Just as soon as a good rain comes it should wash it off. But this time of the year the river flow is on every day which floods all of the creeks and the mud and soot settles just where you wanted to look

Keep at em!! You will find em. Trust me, even at my best creeks I’ve gone on dry spells that lasted multiple trips. Only to eventually be followed by a great day and usually a dandy point!
ps. That creek does look very inviting. I don’t blame ya for spending as much time as ya can in there!!

They mentioned selling cause of a 4 lane coming in. They were surveying it yesterday. Probably loose another property before long.

Nice pics Glenn.. you tried. I just walked a few miles in cornfields with a guy from church who knows all the farmers in a rural town. He don't know anything bout Iour hobby but had good time... I couldn't find anything to teach him except some flakes of quartz. And a rock showing the shape of a possible ax or celt preform maybe ....but a good day trying

It is, close enough to town so no big animal's to worry about and rural enough to enjoy the quiet.
