        I was maybe ten feet from him when I shot the picture . He just dropped that nut and sat and stared at me.

        Their legs move so fast when they 're running, they look like they are on wheels. Really get a kick out of them, and watching them stuff nut after nut in their months and then leaving with half the stash while the squirrel eats one at a time.

            Those flowers need special nutrients to grow in the wild. It is a fungus I believe. I showed this picture to a gal I know and she just wanted to dig them all up and plant them in her yard! I told her they would never make it. She tried, they died! This swampy area had one of the biggest lady slipper groups I had ever seen growing in one place! There had to have been fifty growing over about a half an acre right along the swamps edge.
