Here’s Lookin at Me….

Not much of a beastie, I know. But, and I probably should find this fact at least a tad remarkable, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one of these katydids before. Yesterday, on a ledge halfway up the outside of a glass door. How could I have gone my entire life without seeing a leaf bug? All I know is I said, “hey, that looks like a walking leaf”, and got some photos. I keep forgetting I have this iPhone in my pocket, just not used to that….

I didn't know that Kadydids were so self absorbed, lol. In the jungle, their sound combined with all the frogs and cicadas is deafening. New comers had trouble sleeping at night because of the insect symphony. 😉
