My SW Tennessee personal finds, a work in progress, hoping to kick out a few brokes this spring. We got a fresh dusting of snow here last night, I left a foot print there by the frame in first picture ..I’m probably gonna be lazy and watch the race today..couple of favorites in hand, the Tennessee River knife was less then 3 feet off the road about an inch of the tip was sticking up out of the mud. I saw it when I was getting out of the vehicle to put my boots on. My girlfriend was still in car on phone telling her Mom we made it safe and I let out a hollar lol. Still looking for my prize horse creek chert point, the Uni scraper in hand is the reason I’ve ruined my back picking up chips over the years lol.

Polymath, polymath, polymath. You’re in the company of Leonardo Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Nicholas Tesla, Thomas Jefferson, Galileo, Issac Asimov. You will never be bored.

Thanks SH. The field this came from is small, about one acre and sits next to a creek and only produces hopewell artifacts, nothing else. Most sites around here have several different occupational levels.

Oh my gosh look at the flaking on that!
Looking at the unbelievably nice work you and Ron post (and couple others) I have to ask. When you find a point or tool do you look at it from the craftsman perspective i.e I like how they worked around that or very nice flaking and such

I finally got out and found my 1st for 2020 the quartz one. The black one I found 2 years ago and is the same type but found them 30 miles apart from each other. It amazes me how they could have the same knowledge that far apart. N Ga Click image for larger version
