            And now onto today's agate. The feature here is the interesting way the fortification banding got deformed by the escape tube at the bottom, pushing outward on the banding to relieve internal pressure. Click image for larger version

              The banding gradation, from coarse on the outside, to microscopically tight on the inside is what this agate features. Parallax or shadow is extremely active in the tight area. Add the iron carbonate specks as accent, and this one rings the winner bell. Click image for larger version
