That's a lovely one. Amazing how consistent celt shapes are.
I've never found a celt or axe and I doubt I ever will.
Not sure there were used by valley and foothill tribes in northern Cali.
I don't think the chopped down trees at all.
Anyway you would have a hard time felling a big oak with a stone axe.
If they need major lumber I suspect they relied on wind and diseased toppled material.
I have read they would drop trees by burning the base, but even that seems too much work, when big trees fall every winter.
