That is what I am used to seeing.

I see there are descriptions of Fish spears in Overstreet but Perino never described one. Fogleman nope, Ritchie, nope.  Some of my books are still packed so I did not check what Justice had to say Hamricky?  I did find reference to fish spears in the book " Prehistoric Implements" Warren K Moorhead . The points he has drawn are from Lehigh Island in PA. one looks more like a Poplar Island to me.  I shot what it says in that page for what it is worth.

Growing up Dad always referred to this point as a Fish Spear.

All that being said I am not so sure Fish Spear is an actual type.

The one you pictured is more like the ones I have seen. Except the other examples have been exhausted.

I'll have to lean toward Greenbriar.

What about my point guys? :dunno:   I dont believe its a sedalia or a nebo or even a damaged corner notch. Could it be a monster rice? :dunno:
              Help me out.
And actually it doesnt really fit a rice sn either as the widest point on them is supposed to be the base, not the blade.
:dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:  :dunno:

Josh there is a Long slender point called Munker's Creek found in Eastern Kansas I always thought that point is one of them. I know you are a little out of the range but not really that far.

I have a question about this "Beaverlake ?" point? Did your friend who is thinning out his collection actually find this or was it bought by him?

I don't think he did. I told him I thought it was from Kentucky. The material isn't some thing I am used to. We get plenty of Kentucky flint types here but not Beaverlakes.
