Authentic Artifacts?

The more that I look at it, the body looks a lot like one of the mass produced "dovetails" that come out of India. Someone reworked the base, rubbed it in dirt and sold it for a couple bucks as a stemmed point.

My gut feeling when I asked to see it cleaned. It a shame people stoop to this.
