I live and hunt artifacts in SW Nebraska and have never found any obsidian in this part, wish i would it is beautiful.

Wowie Zowie, Bullet, you got some big pieces! As far as the Obsidian goes, know is highly unusual, but also know designs traveled, so makes sense so could originals. Realize I’m fairly naive, but prefer to think affirmatively, even when is also “amazingly”!

Welcome to our forum from Alabama. That huge mortar is amazing. Never saw one that even comes close to that one in size. The obsidian blade as everyone agrees is fantastic, especially considering how far away would be the closest source of obsidian. You also have some real dandy Early Archaic points. It is a great introduction.
